The Supermarine Spitfire was originally a legendary British fighter aircraft, used during World War II by the Royal Air Force and other Allied air forces. Highly appreciated by pilots for its excellent maneuverability, it became one of the most produced aircraft in history, with over 20,000 units built. In German, its name can be translated as "fire spitter" or "hothead."
