FlightLine has introduced a fresh take on the timeless P-51D Mustang, offering a beginner-friendly rendition with precise styling, gyro compatibility, economical operation, and high entertainment value, all within a conveniently portable size! This Mustang boasts a versatile power system capable of utilizing either a 3S or 4S flight battery without necessitating changes to the propeller or ESC. Its spacious battery bay accommodates a wide range of battery sizes, from 3S 1600mAh to an Admiral 4S 2200mAh. Switch effortlessly from a 30-60mph 3S Trainer to an 80+mph 4S Racer with a quick five-second battery swap!

Crafted to excel as both a slow-speed 3S warbird parkflyer and a 4S sportscale racer, the FlightLine Pocket Warbird series P-51D Mustang is compatible with gyro-stabilized receivers like the Admiral RX600SP 6-Channel DSMX™ Compatible Receiver with Stability Plus Gyro. Hand launches are easily achieved via overhand or underhand methods, thanks to balanced wing loading that ensures precise handling and stable landings. Gone are the days of nerve-wracking hand launches - this Mustang launches effortlessly with moderate throttle and a confident toss. Setting itself apart from previous generations of parkflyer warbirds in the sub-900mm class, numerous design enhancements enhance the Mustang's durability, including a lengthy plywood battery plate, reinforced motor firewall, shatter-resistant two-blade propeller, one-piece wing with carbon spar, servo horn protectors, and a plastic-sheathed underside fuselage to resist scuffing during landings. The end result is a well-balanced model that glides smoothly like a larger aircraft rather than being jostled like a toy.

Sporting the stock livery straight out of the box, this version depicts the 462nd Fighter Squadron, 506th Fighter Group "Shanghai Lil'".

For added control precision, pilots have the option to install a 9g rudder servo inside the fuselage and utilize the pre-molded passageway to guide a control rod rearward toward the rudder hinge itself. The model can be flown in smaller areas with a lightweight 3S 1600 battery or in larger spaces with a heavier and more potent 4S 2200. We recommend the 3S 2200mAh or 4S 2200mAh as an ideal compromise between flight duration, top speed, vertical performance, and ease of launch/landing.
