Description

The semi-scale model of a successor to the legendary Albatros has a 1088mm wingspan and is powered by an 80mm brushless EDF. It has excellent flight characteristics that even the most demanding "scale-er" pilots will appreciate. The model is surprisingly stable, docile and has excellent control authority. The carefully tuned position of the suspended undercarriage considerably reduces the take-off speed and is perfect for smooth scale landings on both tarmac and groomed grass surfaces. This also makes the Skyfox viable as a first fan-powered model.

It is available in the original Aero grey camouflage or a blank white variant for a custom finish.

The legendary Albatros successor

Although the Skyfox is based on the Czech legend L-39 Albatros, it is a completely new aircraft type with a number of improvements, introduced in 2024, worked directly with Aero to develop the model. (officially licensed scale model).

Unique flying experience

The excellent flight characteristics achieved by our designers will be appreciated by even the most demanding "scale-er" pilots. The model is surprisingly stable, obedient and has excellent control authority. Thanks to this, there is no need to be afraid of the Skyfox. It can also be chosen as the first model powered by a blower. And, as we all know, the graceful overflights and elongated turns will bring a smile every time.

On the ground like in a cradle

The fully retractable 3-wheel suspension landing gear is perfect for smooth, scale landings. She likes asphalt runways, of course, but she'll have no trouble on trimmed grass either. Plus, the precision-tuned landing gear position dramatically reduces take-off speed, so you'll enjoy every lift off the ground to the full.

Soul is in the details

Advanced EPO foam expansion technology allows us to render even more detail. It's also very robust and thoroughly reinforced with carbon profiles. The cockpit is transparent and features a realistic representation of the deck and two pilots. The wings then flash fully functional positioning and landing LED lighting, ideal for early evening recreation.

Original or original

We have prepared for you a model in original licensed camouflage from Aero Vodochody workshop. You can see the same in the sky in the hands of Czech, Vietnamese or Hungarian pilots. However, if you want your own original, we also have a blank white version for creatives, which you can dress in your own eye-pleasing colours and patterns.

Reliable propulsion

An 80mm EDF with 11-blade rotor, C3552-200 brushless motor and powerful 100A ESC will get you in the air. You'll feed these from a 3700–5000mAh LiPo 6S with a load capacity of at least 40C. All control surfaces are controlled by a total of 8 servos wired into the control board, and can be controlled by just a 6 channel radio with no special functions.

Specifications

  • The EPO foam fuselage, thoroughly carbon-reinforced, comes with the 80mm EDF fan with C3552-2000 brushless motor, and KAVAN R-100SB Plus ESC featuring a powerful switching SBEC stabilizer necessary to feed all 8 servos aboard. The removable upper tail part of the fuselage secured with screws offers easy access to the fan and motor. The detachable canopy is secured with a pin at the front and one latch in the rear. The cockpit compartment offers a lot of space for your receiver and flight pack.

  • The one-piece EPO wing is reinforced by carbon spars and joined together with a carbon tube joiner. The wing is secured by bolts to the fuselage. The ailerons and flaps are controlled by two pairs of servos installed in the wing driven with short wire push rods; there are position and landing LED lights installed as well.

  • The empennage is made of EPO foam. The elevator and rudder servos are installed in the fin and fuselage.

  • The tricycle retractable undercarriage has a steerable nose leg; all legs are telescopic and spring-loaded.

  • L-39 is powered by the 80mm EDF fan with 11-blade rotor, C3552-2000 brushless motor with the KAVAN R-100SB Plus 100A ESC.

  • You will need a 22.2V 3700–5000mAh flight pack (at least 40C, 60C preferred) to fly your Skyfox.

  • You will need at least a 6-channel RC set to control your Skyfox; even a non-computer radio would work as the aileron, flap, rudder and steerable front undercarriage servos are controlled by a single channel each (linked via the pre-installed connection board). The board feeds the LED lights as well; the connected sequencer controls the retracts. The instruction manual contains a thoroughly tested set-up table in order to help you set up the L-39 easily.
