With the E-flite® F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) jet, more pilots than ever can enjoy piloting a replica of this iconic fighter! Developed for the US Navy, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat made its first deployment in 1974 aboard the USS Enterprise, replacing the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II.

This E-flite model is based on the F-14D Super Tomcat variant and the factory applied finish pays homage to the Strike Fighter Squadron 2 (VFA-2), also known as the "bounty hunters". During its 2002-2003 deployment - the last cruise with the Tomcat - the VF-2 participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom by conducting reconnaissance, close air support, CAP and strike missions.

The F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF recreates the VF-2 fighter down to functional variable-boom wings and pendulum stabs to provide an authentic and unique flight experience. It is scaled up for more pilots to ride and afford, as it is compatible with popular 4S 2200mAh batteries. In addition, it is equipped with the exclusive AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies, which makes it easier to pilot than any other TOPGUN Tomcat EDF model!

Exclusive Technologies

The F-14 Tomcat is equipped with exclusive Spektrum ™ AS3X®, SAFE® Select and telemetry technologies. AS3X works in the background to mitigate the effects of wind and turbulence, to provide a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much bigger plane. Optional use of SAFE Select offers tilt and tilt angle limits as well as automatic leveling that can be turned on and off with the flick of a switch to make this the easiest "Warthog" to pilot! It will also provide real-time flight battery voltage and other telemetry data to Spektrum AirWare ™ equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2 / G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20 and others)

Highest Performances

The factory installed brushless power systems feature 2x 40mm EDFs with high speed outrunner motors. This twin power system configuration is designed to provide excellent performance with 4S 2200mAh 30 + C batteries.

Characteristics

Pendulum stabs provide crisp, precise tail control and, along with the functional 3-position variable-boom wings, deliver an authentic and unique F-14 flight experience.

Strong manufacturing

Construction with fully molded EPO material allows for intricate details and shapes to be reproduced in a lightweight yet durable form. The result is an exceptional appearance to scale, easy to maintain and providing the best possible flying experience!

Optionnal Landing Gear

You can use the included fixed landing gear with steerable front wheel to taxi, take off and land on smooth surfaces. Or, you can remove the landing gear for more vertical speed and performance, along with easier launches and landings on the grass.

The F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF comes fully assembled at the factory and almost ready to fly right out of the box! It is equipped with the latest Spektrum ™ 2.4GHz technology that binds to your 6+ channel DSMX® / DSM2® computer transmitter.
