The Wide version is specially designed for drones or any type of model requiring a faster response of acceleration. Its wider intake lip facilitates the passage of air at the expense of bulk.

EPF Hobby Mercury II 12 Blades 90mm EDF Ducted Fan + 1600Kv Motor 8s combo, pre-mounted and dynamically balanced.

Mercury EDF are full alloy high precision CNC made and are offering a very good thermal dissipation. The 12 blades rotor is also made of aluminium and accepts high rotation speeds. The front "spinner" does not rotate (vibration risk elimination) and is protected between 2 sets of 4 stators. Eliminating any risk of rotor ejection. The brushless motor is located at the front of the edf for a better head dissipation.

The controller should be chosen 20% over rated due to the long lasting load.
LV = low voltage controller up to 6s, HV = high voltage controller above 6s.
Battery should be chosen about 15/ - 1/20 of the max current for 4-3 minutes WOT. 30-40 C is appropriate.
