Combo Wemotec Mini Fan Evo 70mm EDF and Wemotec 70mm fixed nacelle for glider to be completed with your choice of motor and sequencer. The most widely used 70mm EDF now has a new 9-blade rotor. Mini Fan evo is our completely new successor of our well know Mini Fan pro. Due to the new 9 bladed rotor the fan is much quieter, and the efficiency is even further improved.

The one piece glass reinforced Nylon rotor comes calibrated and dynamically balanced. All components are compatible with the former Mini Fan pro.

Wemotec fixed nacelle allow you to equip your glider with a simpler material than the retractable versions while taking advantage of the propulsion of a turbine.

The nacelle is in white gelcoated fiberglass. It is equipped with an intake lip and an outlet duct. The height of the support stand can be adjusted to your liking. The position of the nacelle must be as close as possible to the fuselage of your glider in order to obtain a low lever force. This must be in the flight axis of the glider and aligned parallel to the tail (right).

Attention: The Wemotec nacelle is designed only for the Wemotec Mini Fan evo EDF or Hacker Streamfan EDF 70.

Choice and calculation of the weight / thrust ratio:

  • 0.5: 1 is ideal for slope flight.
  • 0.6: 1 is required for a glider to take off from a grass runway and gain altitude.
  • 0.7: 1 is required for aerobatics.

When calculating the total weight of the model, the installed battery, as a rule, replaces the lead installed in the nose.

If you want to paint the nacelle, you must roughen the white gelcoat at grain 800 with water (In order to remove the release agent), then apply the paint at your convenience
