Description

The model is designed for typical special transports and can take on transport tasks in complex road conditions. It features a heavily restored radiator grille, enlarged rear-view mirrors, and a snorkel, as well as two orange hazard lights on the roof. The windows provide a view of the dashboard and interior. The bonnet can be opened to change the battery and also serves as a storage space for electronics. 

The Unimog uses the high-performance chassis of the FCX24 series (with additional realistic parts such as the fuel tank and pressure accumulator). The vehicle's chassis is made from high-strength nylon. Compared with trapezoidal beams connected by metal side brackets and plastic spacers, the overall weight is lower and strength higher. The center-mounted drive unit has a low center of gravity and combines the two-speed gearbox, transfer case, and engine. Power is transmitted to the front and rear axles via the PTO shaft. The portal axles increase the ground clearance of the differential ring.

Crawlers are usually fitted with straight front and rear axles to simulate the locked differential condition of a real vehicle and improve overtaking ability in the field. The FCX24 is fitted with a straight axle as standard, but the planetary differential can also be replaced with high-viscosity silicone oil to simulate the driving effect of an LSD-locked differential. Once the differential is fitted, the ultimate climbing ability is reduced, but the result is a smaller turning radius and a more stable ride at high speeds. In simple terms, the right axle is suited to extreme gradients, and the limited-slip differential to high-speed off-road driving. The choice is yours.

The two-speed mechanical gearbox is operated by a 9g steering box, which can be switched via the third channel of the remote control. The low gear ratio is 99. The high torque is well suited to extreme gradients. The reduction ratio is 24.75 and the speed is higher than any similar product on the market. In addition to the charm of the mechanical gearbox, the two-speed gearbox offers more ways to enjoy the driving experience.
